About the department

Serving Chassell since 1947

Chassell Volunteer Fire & Rescue serves the residents, businesses, and visitors of Chassell Township. Our members give their time to help their neighbors and keep the department ready to respond.

Members train for fires, vehicle accidents, and rescues on land, water, and ice. We also work with neighboring departments when additional help or equipment is needed.

Department services

Fire protection and rescue

Our work includes firefighting, rescue, and responding in winter conditions. Training helps members prepare for the different calls we receive.

Fire response

The department responds to building, vehicle, and brush fires throughout the township.

Rescue operations

Members train to help people involved in vehicle accidents or stranded in places that are difficult to reach.

Water rescue

Water and ice rescue training prepares members for emergencies on our local waterways.
